Recommendations: need to be entrepreneurial, be risk takers, be creative

10 suggestions
1 Basic education: Finland and Korea have excellent education systems, we need high to set high goals like Fins and Koreans , “We resign to expectation levels”

4 tertiary ed, more math science majors, encouragement of maths

5 How can we make our unis be comparable to highest achieving,

6 follow the Lisbon agenda, increase RD investment ti 3%, politcal will needed, some industry, some public

7 be entrepreneurial , grow economy from within, risk taking, university courses in entrepreneurship

8 Ireland is small, need to focus, narrow down choices investment

9 infrastructre broadband is only average
Technology in schools is average
Sound IT infrastructure needed

10 always remember who you are competing with ie best in World. Set expectations at global level

“You can’t unless you choose to compete”
We need to stop playing safe, take risks, have society that accepts this
